Job Title: Electrical Engineer
Department: Engineering
Reports to: Director of Product Development
FLSA Status: Exempt
SUMMARY Design of digital hardware and software for embedded MCU control of consumer audio products. Some analog circuit design. Audio experience a plus.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Entry of schematics
- Circuit board layout
- Software design and development
- Prototype assembly and testing
- Generation of Bills of Materials
- Production support
- Design validation
- Test procedure creation

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s Degree (BS ) in Electrical Engineering; five years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
SKILLS
C Programming in embedded development environment (Code Warrior, w/RTOS)
Digital logic/MCU design (Kinetis MCUs)
Analog circuit design
Schematic capture/PCB layout (PADS)
Soldering
Use of test equipment (oscilloscopes, analyzers)
Basic computer applications (Microsoft Office)
ADDITIONAL EXPERIENCE (A plus but not required)
TCP/IP
Web page development
Digital audio
HDMI video
